Plastic Shopping Carts

Shopping is a major part of life and along with that is the use of plastic shopping carts to load up on what is needed and wanted.  There are a few different kinds of carts that an establishment can have like shopping carts, handheld bins and convenience carts to aid in the shopping endeavor.  Depending on the size of store and the types of products available each one of these will play a part in patrons easily getting what they need.

The plastic and metal carts are the carts that are probably used the most.  They are a great size for big grocery trips or a walk through a department store where various household items, clothing and a wide array of miscellaneous purchases are made.  The metal carts are perhaps a bit more durable, withstanding bumps and bangs and all the wear a tear from being in the outside elements.  The plastic carts have a bit more appeal with the ability to be made in a few different colors, which can look more coordinated with the store colors and logos.  In general, plastic doesn’t stand up against abuse quite as much as metal does, but the thick durable quality of the heavy duty plastic is still a very viable choice for any kind of store environment.  This bigger type of cart, either metal or plastic, is also a favorite due to the child seat built into the cart that usually includes a safety belt to secure around the child.

The smaller carts that are still on wheels but aren’t as big as the ones mentioned above are quite popular as another alternative for the stores that have the big sized carts, but want to provide a more compact option to their patrons when not many items are needed.  The push cart is generally about half the size, some having an upper and lower basket and other models have just one basket on top with a flat grid on the bottom that can hold bigger items.  There is also the basket on wheels option that has a long handle to hold and direct the basket that sits about 2 feet high and is especially fun for children to have control of.  These convenience cart styles are a great choice for smaller stores, whether they are convenience stores, small grocery stores, or souvenir shops.

A good personal option for those that are walking home from stores is the folding shopping carts.  These designs will fold up to a nice space-saving storage size to easy fit anywhere.  They are wheeled carts as well and have a handle to smoothly push or pull, making them an easy-to-maneuver cart on sidewalks and over bumps.  Some of the carts are straight metal construction while others will have a fabric insert hold all the contents.  Since these carts are nice and small they are a great option for inside and outside the store for people of varying physical abilities.

To provide the most convenient shopping experience plastic shopping carts are the preferred option in the various different styles.  The plastic is more visually appealing than metal and is constructed to better withstand the effects of rain and snow.
